WINDOWS 8 ADDITIONAL DESIGN

Assalamualaikum and hello everyone! Today I would like to share some information about windows 8 for those who are just installed them. Nowadays most of the laptop comes with the windows 8 as the operating system and mine is one of them, so now i want to share some of the difference between the previous version of windows such as windows 7 with windows 8 based in my experience using it..

First and foremost the windows 8 might feel like an entirely new "user experience" but Microsoft actually provide a new animation that enable user interface only somewhat upgraded from windows 7. The windows 8 start menu is customizable through a mosaic tile which is different from the usual desktop icons by letting you view the information inside the windows 8 application without accessing the application, for example the windows 8 weather application is able to display the current temperature in a city without the need to access it. For further information it is beautiful and designed mainly for touch screen.

Next is the charms bar, it is a new implementation of the usual windows start bar, it can also be used to quickly configure setting for individual application. On an ordinary non-touch PC, charms are accessed by dragging the mouse to the bottom-left corner of the screen, to the same spot as the old windows start button. On a tablet, you swipe from the right of the screen to bring up charms. the charms sidebar offers give sets of options, supporting both application specific settings and system setting such as volume and brightness. the option include start, search, share, devices and setting. The start option returns the user to the home screen. The devices option presents a list of connected devices. Under the share option, user can see social network sharing application.

The third one is snap multitasking which is designed to make it easy to run two application in windows 8 side by side, to resize them and to switch between them. On the right-hand side of the screen, you can snap an application into place. you can make an application smaller or larger by dragging the bar for the application. To switch between application in windows 8, you swipe from the left-hand part of the screen. However, windows 8 does not allow you to view all your running application on a single screen.

The control panel has also redesigned for windows 8. New option include personalize, users, wireless, notification, general, privacy, search, and share. you will be able to use the personalize menu to customize the start menu with tiles for calendar, music, e-mail, and much more. Windows 8 also contain 2 soft keyboards which is an enhanced version from the previous windows keyboard, plus a new thumbs keyboard for non-touch laptop or PC, the new keyboard also suggest words on the screen as you type. You can then tap to select the suggested word. It also automatically correct mistyped words.

Windows 8 also introduces the ability to perform all current copy operations into a single dialog box instead of requiring you to perform file copying in separate dialog boxes for each application. The new dialog box for file copying lets you pause, resume, and stop each copy operation currently under way. Microsoft has also added a graph. each copy shows the speed of data transfer, the transfer rate and how much data is left to transfer .

I think that's all that I managed to find based on my experience using it, there is a lot more to be discovered in windows 8 but I think this is the most basic things for people that had just installed the windows 8 as an OS.
